We were ready for last week to be over between preparing for A Divine Run, helping with Vacation Bible School and preparing Village Preschool for the start of their year. Luke spent four mornings in child care at Village Church but he loved every minute of it! It is much easier to drop off a kiddo that wants to go!
Saturday morning began at 5:30 am at Corporate Woods in Overland Park for the third biennial A Divine Run. It was a great turnout and great fundraiser for SIDS Resources - about 700 participants and over $17,000 raised!! After a shower and short nap, we drove to Emporia to assist with my brother Jason and Taverli's wedding shower! The luau theme was really fun. It was fun to see everyone. Andy made his homemade salsa which was a big hit. Luke enjoyed the chocolate mints that Aunt Kristi made. Also, he loved running around with his cousins, Caroline and Zach.
On Sunday, Luke woke up with a fever so we decided to leave early. In our travels home, our passenger window randomly broke going down the highway. We aren't sure if something hit it from the outside or what. It was crazy!? The blessing is that no one was hurt and it is now fixed. Luke is also finally better. The fever continued on Sunday night and ended with a rash. My RN mom diagnosed him with roseola. Roseola is a virus that ends in a rash. Not fun but I am sure he got it in his week of childcare. No worries now as he has been running around our house all day. Life is finally back to normal. We are definitely enjoying our slow week! :)

I was catching up on your blog!! I can't believe what happened to your window!! So relieved that no one was hurt---scary!! Thanks for taking some great pictures of the shower!! I saved them so I can put them in my scrapbook!! Thanks again for helping out :)--Tave
